Atafu Atoll
Smallest of the three atolls that make up
Tokelau, and also the most traditional island,
relying a great deal on traditional dugout canoes.
Known for its attractive wooden houses.
Formerly known as the Duke of York Island Group.
There are no hotels on the Atafu Atoll
and only one guest house.
Nukunonu Atoll
Largest of the three islands that make up
Tokelau. Fewer then 500 people live on
Nukunonu. The atoll was formerly known as
the Duke of Clarence Island Group.
There are two hotels on Nukunonu Atoll.
Fakaofo Atoll
The Fakaofo Atoll The most southerly of the Tokulau atolls.
It was formerly known as Bowditch Island.
