Sadie Thompson Inn
Somerset Maugham stayed in this 1920's inn
and it became the setting for one of his
most famous stories "Rain". The inn's twelve rooms are located
above the restaurant and bar and each one is
named for one of the characters in Rain. The five
deluxe rooms face the harbor and the seven standard
rooms face inland. Two of the units are apartment suites.
All units are air conditioned. Located in Fagatogo, just west of
Pago Pago Harbor. Opened under the current management

Sadie's by the Sea
This hotel was formerly known as the the Rainmaker Hotel.
and it was built by Pan American Airways in 1959. The
hotel became run down in the 1990's but in about 2005
the owners of the Sadie Thompson Inn leaved 46 rooms
and named the new lodging "Sadie's By the Sea".
Turtle and Shark Lodge
Two story Inn with six rooms, three on each floor.
The rooms are laid out as three bedroom apartments,
and four have private bathrooms and two have
shared bathrooms. Four more rooms are sometimes
available in the main residence on this property.
Both floors of the lodge have a shared living room and shared
full kitchen and there is a swimming pool and tennis
court on the grounds. Located in the village of Vaitogi,
about 40 minutes from Pago Pago and about
20 minutes from the International Airport.
